Questions you may have...
How do kids register and get involved?
Under 8 Auskick centres and AFL Juniors run in the Dry Season. Some centres will run just in Term 2 and others will only run in Term 3. Sign on days occur in March. The dates and location will also be advertised through the School Newsletters. You can also sign up at the first Auskick session if you miss the major sign on days.
How can parents get involved?
In 2007 the program was supported by more than 20,000 volunteers around the country. THIS TEAM IS FOR PARENTS TOO! The involvement of parents is an integral component of the success of the program, so get out of the car and get involved. Your centre coordinator will provide all the help and advice you need. You don't need to have a background in the game, just the willingness to spend more time with your children, learn new skills, get active and make new friends. NAB AFL Auskick is RUN BY THE COMMUNITY FOR THE COMMUNITY!
Can both boys and girls play?
You bet! Everyone is encouraged to be involved.
Is it fun?
You're joking, is footy fun?? It's the greatest game in the world! Is it safe? NAB AFL Auskick has been developed with fun and safety as its prime drivers.
How does it work for very young kids?
NAB AFL Auskick starts with five-year-olds and teaches kids fundamental motor skills.
What is the minimum and maximum age for kids to participate in Auskick?
