Coaches, team-mates and supporters sorely missed the excitement and skill that Alwyn Davey brings to the field each week in 2008. The explosive forward managed to pull on the jumper five times bringing his career tally to 19 games before enduring another season ending injury (knee). Davey’s speed, natural talent and intense tackling pressure is a huge asset for the team and the return of Essendon’s pocket-rocket in 2009 will be a massive boost. Entering his third AFL season, the 24-year-old’s rehab has gone to plan and, surely, his luck must turn around soon.
