AFLNT CEO Michael Solomon said today’s budget reply from Territory Labor is positive news for football in the Top End, particularly the support pledged for the installation of lights at Gardens Oval and Nightcliff Oval.
Some of the top talent from the women’s AFLNT State Academy will head to Adelaide this weekend to play South Australia in a curtainraiser to the AFL Round 10 game between the Adelaide Crows and GWS Giants at Adelaide Oval.

AFLNT is pleased to announce the Northern Territory Minister for Sport and Recreation, The Hon. Nathan Barrett MLA, will be hosting a free barbecue lunch for all football fans at TIO Traegar Park this Friday 27 May following an AFL Super Clinic in the Red Centre.
This Saturday the 14th of May sees the beginning of the highly anticipated TIO Women’s Lightning Series in Darwin. The seven-round competition will run until August this year as curtain raisers to NT Thunder NEAFL matches played at TIO Stadium.
