NTFL Match Review Panel: Week Three Finals & Women's Grand Final

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Finals Week Three and Women’s Grand Final day of the 2017/18 TIO NTFL Season.


 
The following charges have been laid in the senior divisions: 

 

WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE
 
Lucy Adam, of Darwin Buffaloes Football Club, has been charged with rough conduct on player number 11 of the Waratah Football Club in the first quarter of the TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League Grand Final between Waratah and Darwin Buffaloes at TIO Stadium on Saturday 10 March 2018.
 
Based on the video referral, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as careless conduct, low impact and high contact and result in a one-match suspension.

In summary, Adam can accept a reprimand as an early guilty plea.


MEN’S DIVISION 1

Jackie Brown, of Southern Districts Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 3 of the Waratah Football Club in the second quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Southern Districts and Waratah at TIO Oval 2 on Saturday 10 March 2018.
 
Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, high impact and high contact and should be referred directly to the Tribunal.
 

OTHER CHARGES ASSESSED

The umpire’s report against Tikesa Docherty-Cole from Darwin Buffaloes Football Club for rough conduct in the third quarter of the Women’s Premier League Grand Final between Waratah and Darwin Buffaloes was dismissed by the Match Review Panel.
