The 2019 Barkly Australian Football League (BAFL) season will come to an end this Saturday 14 September with an action-packed Grand Final Day to unfold at Purkiss Reserve in Tennant Creek.
The Kulumindini Didingarna - Elliott Hawks will take on the Sporties Spitfires in the A-grade Grand Final in the main game. Elliott is on the hunt for its fourth flag and first since 2005, while the Spitfires can lift the trophy for the fourteenth time with a victory.
The day will commence at 9.30am with the Under 15 grand final between the Spitfires and Eagles. Sporties finished the season on top of the ladder and of the four times the two teams met the Eagles got the better of them once.
In Division 2, Canteen Creek match up against Ali Curung at 11.30am. Ali Curung will be out for redemption after the last game when the two teams met, only two weeks ago for the Qualifying Semi-Final went the way of Canteen Creek by 53 points.
Both the Under 15 medal count and A-grade Patrons Medal count will be held at 11am, and in exciting news the A grade game will be called live on 8CCC radio.
Ticket prices for Saturday will be $6 for adults, $3 for teenagers and free for primary school students and below. Gates open at 8.30am.
