The TIO NTFL Men's Premier League, Women’s Premier League, Division 1, Division 2 and Under 18 Boys and Girls fixtures for the upcoming 2019/20 TIO NTFL season have received minor tweaks and updates.
This is a result of AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) identifying minor issues with game timing and alignment in the previously published fixtures.
In addition, the number of expected teams competing in the junior divisions changed as the team nominations closed off, which created an opportunity for the League to be more flexible in the scheduling of senor grade matches.
In most instances, the changes to the fixtures are small tweaks and account for updates to times and/or venues that will be beneficial to clubs and the running of the competition.
The SportsTG website and AFLNT website will be updated by Friday morning to reflect the new details so please refer to the below PDFs in the meantime.
Please also note that game times for Division 1, 2 and Under 18s for beyond Round 8 cannot be completed until junior regrading has been implemented.
AFLNT Manager of Community Football and Club Development, Emily Wastle-Hopkins said all clubs had been kept informed and she didn’t expect the updates to cause too much disruption.
“It’s not ideal to be making changes to the fixture so close to the season starting but none of this weekend’s games have been impacted and the majority of what has been altered will provide upside to clubs and fans.
“While completing this work we have discovered processes and efficiencies that we can tidy up for future seasons so that hopefully we won’t be in this position again.
“We thank all clubs, coaches and players for their patience with the amendments and hope we can now move forward with rolling out a great season for everyone,” she said.
