AFL Northern Territory is seeking to appoint members of the community to the following vacant positions/panels for the 2020/21 TIO NTFL season:

  • MRP
  • Tribunal
  • Reporting Officer

All functions are vitally important to the success of the NTFL season.

It is the role of the MRP to review reports or referrals lodged by Umpires and other designated officials and to assess available evidence before marking charges and classifying said charges where they are satisfied that a Reportable Offence has occurred.

The Tribunal convenes to hear contested Reportable Offences, Direct Tribunal Offences and those Classifiable Offences which are sufficiently serious to be referred to the Tribunal.

The Reporting Officer acts in the Tribunal on behalf of AFLNT. This role involves making submissions and responding to matters put forward by the defence or the Tribunal.

With the exception of the Reporting Officer, the MRP and Tribunal are independent panels to AFLNT. More information can be viewed in Schedule 11 here:

Knowledge of Australian Football is essential to perform any of the vacant roles, and a legal background is desirable.
