AFLNT advises the independent Tribunal sat this evening to hear one charge from Week 1 of the 2020/21 TIO NTFL senior finals:
Men’s Premier League
Braedon McLean of Wanderers Football Club’s appeared before the independent Tribunal to answer the charge of rough conduct against player number 6 from St Mary’s Football Club in the third quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League match between St Mary’s and Wanderers at TIO Stadium on Saturday 27 March 2021.
McLean was offered a two-match penalty with an early guilty plea but opted to have the matter heard by the Tribunal.
McLean entered a plea of not guilty to the charge which was originally classified as intentional conduct, medium impact and high contact.
Pursuant to 22.2.2a (v) in the 2020 State and Territory Tribunal Guidelines and upon reviewing the footage and the evidence placed before them, the Tribunal determined the classification to remain intentional conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a three-match sanction.
