Community football games return in the Territory

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) advise community football games will recommence from this evening, Wednesday 14 July. 

The Central Australian Football League (CAFL) Town season resumes Round 10 tonight with the Under 15 Junior Men’s competition playing at TIO Traeger Park. On Friday the CAFL Under 16 Junior Women and Senior Women games recommence and on Saturday the Under 18 Junior Men, Reserve Grade Senior Men and Senior Men will play.

The CAFL Community competition will continue from Round 7 Sunday 18 July at Albrecht Oval and Jim McConville Oval.  

The Barkly Australian Football League (BAFL) Town and Country Challenge competition picks up this Saturday 17 July at Purkiss Reserve.

BAFL’s A-Grade Senior fixture will resume Round 10 on Saturday 24 July. 

On Saturday 24 July the Big Rivers Football League (BRFL) season will recommence when the Katherine River, Roper River and Women’s competitions run out for Round 10. 

All games unplayed due to COVID disruptions are deemed as washouts. 

All CAFL, BAFL and BRFL Grand Finals are set to play as fixtured. 

Strict Return to Play protocols will be followed. 

AFLNT reminds all people attending matches to be COVIDSafe by ensuring they use the Territory Check In app and scan the QR code at each gate, use good hygiene and practice physical distancing.
