A familiar identity in Territory footy, Brenton Toy was the standout applicant for AFLNT's Manager of Talent. He impressed the interview panel with his understanding of the role, his views on the importance of collaboration and communication, and he also placed a high value on building and maintaining strong relationships.
Our young Northern Territory talent did us proud at the 2019 NAB AFL Draft Combine and AFL State/Allies Combine in Melbourne last week. During the testing period, each player’s strength and skills were assessed through several tests.
The Wanderers' Joel Jeffrey and Southern Districts' Brodie Lake have added to their already significant years by being selected to play in the NAB AFL All Stars Under 17 Futures Game, which is a curtain-raiser to the AFL Grand Final.
Following his outstanding performance at the 2019 NAB Under 16 Championships, which saw him awarded Northern Territory’s MVP award, Brodie Lake has been selected in the 2019 NAB AFL Under 16 All-Australian team.
The primary responsibility of this role is the development of the best talent (male and female) in the Northern Territory in collaboration with the AFL National Talent Pathways, AFLNT affiliated competitions, NEAFL and VFL W senior coaches and AFLNT Regional Managers for all 18 AFL clubs.
