AFLNT advises the independent Tribunal will not sit for the matter relating to Steven Anderson of the Darwin Buffaloes Football Club after he initially entered an early guilty plea for rough conduct. This means that Anderson will now be deregistered given his prescribed penalty exceeds the 15-match suspension threshold.
AFLNT and our clubs do not condone umpire abuse; we want our competitions to be a zero-tolerance zone. This is not a quick fix though, and it requires work with all parties to engage in a collaborative manner.
AFLNT understands the six players in question have been stood down by the Jabiru Football Club, a decision the League supports. These players will also be subject to a further investigation for breach of the AFLNT Code of Conduct.
