The Community Football Development Manager’s role is to progress and develop the game at community level by working closely with community Leagues, clubs and umpiring groups to enhance capacity and support.
Based in Alice Springs and reporting to the Game Development and Talent Manager, this role is responsible for implementing AFL programs to gain maximum participation levels at all levels of the game from AFL Auskick, School programs and junior participation and focus on driving the transition of participants into community club environments.

Approximately 17 minutes into the third quarter of the Men's Premier League game between Nightcliff and the Darwin Buffaloes, TIO Stadium lost power and the game was unable to be restarted within the allowed timeframes.
It was a busy night at the MRP with seven incidents being assessed across the senior men's grades. Three matters are from the one Premier League game and a Division 2 charge has been sent directly to the Tribunal.
