2018 AFL Inclusion Carnival

AFL National Inclusion Carnival

The AFL National Inclusion Carnival is a weeklong round robin competition where male footballers with an intellectual disability represent their state/territory.

Through partnership between AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) and Total Recreation the Northern Territory competed at the National AFL Inclusion Carnival for the very first time in 2017. The players found the experience very rewarding, worthwhile and enjoyable as they formed a close bond while playing some impressive football together.

In 2018 the carnival will take place in Launceston, Tasmania 18 - 23 June and it is looking likely the Northern Territory will take a full team of 16 players this year.

The National AFL Inclusion Carnival is open to all males 16 years old and above with an intellectual disability and training commences on Monday 19 March. No experience playing AFL is necessary and everyone is welcome.

Training details:

Where: TIO Oval 2 - 70 Abala Rd, Marrara
