AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) is pleased to announce gate entry for players and spectators attending junior matches will be free of charge during the 2022/23 TIO Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) home and away season.
AFLNT Community Football Manager, Leigh Elder said the elimination of junior gate prices at all TIO NTFL venues for the home and away season is the perfect way to welcome kids and families back to the footy.
“Territory families love their footy and we are thrilled to see so many enjoy their footy in the TIO NTFL. To assist families who are continuing their footy journey, and those that are new to it, we are taking away gate fees to ensure that enjoying our great game is even more accessible to families,” Elder said.
“Footy is for everyone and we look forward to families taking full advantage of this change and can’t wait to see them out in force cheering for the kids on the sideline this upcoming season.”
Nightcliff Tigers Football Club President, Graeme Shaw said this change will be welcomed by families in the TIO NTFL community.
“Easing the financial costs to families on a weekly basis, especially during a tough time in the economy, is a wonderful imitative and I know families involved across the competition will appreciate it,” Shaw said.
“Not only will it incite more juniors to play the game but also encourage families and supporters to attend games at the various TIO NTFL venues who may not have otherwise.”
The following charges will apply during the 2022/23 TIO NTFL season:

U16 Boys & Girls Free $6
U14 Boys & Girls Free $6
U12 Boys & Girls Free Free
U10 Boys & Girls Free Free
The 2022/23 TIO NTFL junior and senior fixtures will be announced within coming weeks.
