U18 TEAM TO TAKE ON QUEENSLAND IN NATIONAL CHAMPS

The AFLNT Thunder U18 State Academy has announced the squad to play Queensland in Round Two of the 2016 NAB AFL National Championships on Saturday 14th May at Blundstone Arena.

The AFLNT Thunder U18 State Academy has announced the squad to play Queensland in Round Two of the 2016 NAB AFL National Championships on Saturday 14th May at Blundstone Arena.
After an impressive performance against Tasmania which saw the side win by 69 points, the State Academy is looking forward to the challenge this weekend.
State Academy Development coach Andrew Hodges said he is pleased with the team’s approach heading in to the second round of the National Championships.
“Our boys performed well against Tasmania so we look forward to seeing how they match up against Queensland this week, they're really gelling as a team,” Hodges said.
“Our preparation heading in to these Championships included playing a few hit-outs against quality opposition in three TAC Cup teams which we believe was a key factor in preparing us well for these National Championships.
“In terms of our playing list this week, we have had to make a few changes due to injury and unavailability of some players.
“Players coming in this week include Liam McDonald and Kevin Maroney,” Hodges said.
Northern Territory's second match of the 2016 NAB AFL U18 Championships is this Saturday 14 May at 10.00am (9:30am NT time) against Queensland at Blundstone Arena.
