NTFL Match Review Panel: Week One Finals

AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed all matches played in Finals Week One of the 2017/18 TIO NTFL Season.

The following charge has been laid in the senior divisions:

MEN’S DIVISION 1

Henry Armour, of Southern Districts Football Club, has been charged with striking player number 29 of the Nightcliff Football Club in the fourth quarter of the TIO NTFL Men’s Division 1 match between Southern Districts and Nightcliff at TIO Oval 2 on Saturday 24 February 2018.

Based on the umpire’s report, it was the view of the panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact and should result in a two-match suspension.

Due to the player’s existing poor record in the last two years, the penalty was increased to a three-match suspension.

In summary, Armour can accept a two-match penalty as an early guilty plea.
